QXR-5000 and Earth Creature

‘QXR-5000′ doesn’t stand for anything in particular. It was just the first series of letters and numbers that came to my head.

QXR-5000 makes his second appearance here: Snow-Bot

Tea and Evil

This painting and its title were both inspired by my friend Ian, who has an uncanny knack for that sort of thing.

Boy and Dog in a Boat

I like to have characters from past works make cameos in later ones. Here, Island Boy and the Little White Dog take a row together.

As I stated earlier, the Little White Dog pops up every now an again. Keep an eye out for him.

The Amazing Backyard Adventures of Space Boy

The Amazing Backyward Adventures of Space Boy

That Atomic Age inspiration I mentioned before is apparent in this one, I think. I filled the street with only ranch-style homes, kept the palette mainly to pastels, and threw in some of those old metallic space toys that were full of lead and never recalled and now sell for obscene amounts of money on Ebay.

When I look at this painting now, I notice that I completely copied my childhood backyard at my parent’s house.
